THE EARTH SUIT SHOE *CUSTOMIZATION RESERVATION*
"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing, Querencia Studio, Lead Designer Kate Walz and Zellerfeld Inc. are pleased to present The Earth Suit Shoe. Each pair of this limited edition will be printed on-site at The Canvas by Querencia. All materials used in this process are 100% recyclable and can be reused for new designs later.
*This is a reservation fee, not a purchase of the footwear itself. Purchase of reservation goes towards final cost of footwear. The Earth Suit Shoe retail price is $399.*
What is The Earth Suit Project?
As the planet changes, so will our clothing.
Lead Designer Kate Walz explores future fashion systems through a collection of technical and speculative wearables based on fundamental human needs. The Earth Suit Project will consist of multiple elements directly linked to and inspired by space suit construction, serving as a model for surviving in climate conditions that are conceivably harsher than our own.
How it Works:
Upon reservation, you will receive an email with details on the Zellerfeld customization process which will take place at The Canvas by Querencia, 132 Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. Given the nature of this process, this requires the individual to be present for a thirty minute consulting session with the Zellerfeld team.
Zellerfeld is a company democratizing the footwear industry through advanced 3-D scanning, printing and customization of footwear.
After scans are made, custom footwear will be printed on site and ready within 48 hours.
Consulting appointments will begin in the fall and winter of 2019/2020.
Sole printed with first moon step print by astronaut Neil Armstrong.
